The search is on for three varsity spots on the Turkey Valley girls golf team roster.
With the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 linksters back from a year ago, the Trojans will be looking for three new members to step up and fill holes on the roster.
Looking to guide the team to a winning season is Head Coach John Reicks, who has been in charge of the program for three years.

Small but mighty
There were just seven members of the team last season, led by their four returning letter winners of Nicole Meirick, Toril Einwalter, Josie Einwalter and Jamee Blazek.
In total, six meets were cancelled last year due to wet conditions, which didn’t help the young squad get into a groove. They finished the conference season with a 3-3 record.
At the Upper Iowa Conference meet, the Trojans finished seventh in team standings by carding a 481. T. Einwalter carded a 111, good for 21st. J. Einwalter fired a 120, good for 33rd. Also competing were Taylor Novotny (122, 35th), Meirick (128, 39th), Robin Kime (133, 42nd) and Shelbee Winter (136, 45th).
The season ended at the regional meet as the Trojans came up one spot short of advancing. They finished third overall with 442. T. Einwalter finished seventh with a 95. Other scores at regionals included: J. Einwalter, 111, 16th; Meirick, 118, 24th; Blazek, 118, 24th; Novotny, 122, 29th; and Kime, 134, 38th.
