The offense continued to struggle Tuesday night as the Decorah girls basketball team (1-4, 0-1 NEIC) fell at home to Waukon (1-2, 1-1 NEIC) 39-72.

Decorah started strong, keeping pace with the Indians in the first quarter. At the end of the first eight minutes, the Vikes actually held a 14-13 lead. Things began to turn in the second frame as Waukon posted 25 points. By comparison, Decorah scored two points in the first minute, then held at 16 until halfway through the period. At the halftime break, it was 38-22 Indians.

Moving to the third, Decorah managed just four points, all scored in the final two minutes. The Indians tacked on 16 more to make it a 54-26 advantage. Decorah's offense was back to open the fourth as the Vikes scored 11 points in the first two minutes, then held at 37 until late.
