In a field of heavy hitters Monday, the South Winn girls track team held its own at the Hudson Relays.
The Warriors finished fourth in team standings with 65 points. Hudson won its own meet with 114 points.
South Winn’s Brittany Shindelar won the only gold medal for the Warriors. The junior claimed the shot put title by putting the shot 35 feet, 4 inches.
Two other Warriors won a silver medal. Freshman Josie Kriener posted a time of 5:25.68 in the 1,500-meter dash. In the 400-meter hurdles, senior Kennidee DeVilbiss clocked in at 1:13.84.
The Warriors are at North Fayette Valley today, Thursday, April 24, at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, they are at Clayton Ridge at 4:30 p.m.
