Season ends for Trojan girls

One point proved to be the difference Tuesday night in Dunkerton in the regional quarterfinals of the Class 1A playoffs.

However, it was one point for the home team, as Dunkerton (20-3) defeated Turkey Valley 35-34.
The Raiders advance to the regional semifinal to face Tripoli (17-6) Friday, Feb. 21.
Turkey Valley ends the year 13-10.
It was the first quarter that proved to be the difference maker Tuesday night. The teams combined to score 15 points; however, Dunkerton led 9-6. The Trojans won the second quarter 9-8, making it 17-15 Dunkerton at the halftime break.
