The South Winn football team saw its season come to an end Monday night in the Class 1A second round of the playoffs as the Warriors fell to Aplington-Parkersburg 49-22 in Calmar.

The Warriors end the year 9-2 overall.

A-P (9-2) moves on to face undefeated Dike-New Hartford in the quarterfinals Friday, Nov. 2.

The Warriors fell behind early to A-P Monday night and could never regain the lead. The key to the game was the A-P running attack, which ran for 300 yards in the first half alone.
