It was a cold night on the track Tuesday as the Vikings traveled to Hudson to take part in the Hudson Relays.
Decorah finished first overall with 176.5 points. Cascade was second with 134 points.
The JV was to compete at Osage; however, that meet was cancelled.
Seven events took first place at Hudson for Decorah. Dailen Folkedahl was the champion of the 200-meter dash. The senior clocked in a 28.00 seconds. Teammate Kaitlyn Kregel claimed the 400-meter run title. She sped around the track in 1:03.81.
Olivia Sandvig continued her domination of the 100-meter hurdles. She broke the school record for the second time this season. Her new time is 16.23 seconds. The previous school record of 16.37 seconds, set last Tuesday. Linnea Kephart captured the 400-hurdles title. The junior broke the tape in 1:10.56.
Kassie Hoyme was the champion in the shot put, with a throw of 38 feet, 1 inch.
Two relays also claimed the gold. The 4x200 of Folkedahl, Tess Olinger, Kalle Solberg and Alexis Hove punched the clock at 1:48.96 to win the event. To close the night, Folkedahl, Solberg, Olinger and Taylor Schuring won the 4x400 in 4:09.73.
