Looking to get a winning streak going, the South Winn softball team (5-7, 4-4 UIC) swept Central (2-11, 1-5 UIC) Thursday at home.

In the first game South Winn won 4-0. The Warriors got started early, scoring threr runs in the bottom of the third. They added an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth.

The Warriors had just four hits. Jenn Panos had a home run, with three RBIs and a run scored. Morgan Kuennen had a single and scored twice. Bayley Monroe and Brittany Shindelar had the other hits.

Monroe was the winning pitcher. She threw all seven innings, giving up nine hits.
