Twenty South Winn entries took the competition field for the state tournament last weekend in Des Moines.
The boys secured four points to finish 35th in Class 2A. Monticello was the team champion with 92 points.
The girls scored one point during the three-day competition. Cascade was the girls team champion with 49 points.

Boys highlights
Two relays scored points for the boys. The 4x800 started the Warriors strong Thursday. Garrett Bohach, Ben Meyer, Devin Franzen and Nathan Meyer clocked in a 8:07.05, finishing sixth overall. Monticello was the team champion in 7:54.26.
The distance medley also got the Warriors on the scoreboard. Jared Schroeder, Alex Shatek, B. Meyer and Franzen broke the tape in 3:36.43.
Several other athletes also competed at Drake. B. Meyer took 14th in the long jump by going 19 feet, 9.25 inches.
