Looking for some momentum heading into the playoffs, the Decorah boys basketball team (13-8, 6-6 NEIC) got just that and more Monday night in Minnesota, defeating Caledonia (13-7) 73-62.

"It was a great way to close out our regular season and head into postseason play with a team win under our belts," said Decorah Coach Jonathan Carlson.

Caledonia got on the board first, posting the first five points before the Decorah offense woke up. From there, the Vikes battled the Warriors tooth and nail. At the end of the first, the Vikes led 16-14. It was back and forth in the second quarter before Decorah pulled ahead by five at the half, 32-27.
