Two locals earned letters as part of the Luther College men’s swim team.
Jason Orvis and Chandler Roberson were both recognized for their efforts in the pool.
Orvis, a 2012 graduate of DHS, earned his second letter. Individually, Orvis was crowned an Iowa Conference champion in the 50 freestyle, 100 and 200 backstroke and swam the first legs for both the 200 medley and 400 medley relays that claimed league titles. He also earned all-conference honors (top-two place winners at conference meet) as a member of the 200 and 400 freestyle relays. He is the son of Brad and Debra Orvis of Decorah.
Roberson, a 2011 graduate of Decorah High School, earned his third letter. Roberson competed for the Norse in the distance freestyle, butterfly and IM events. He is the son of Bill and Lisa Roberson of Cresco.
During the 2013-14 season, Luther posted a dual meet record of 3-4, captured a tenth consecutive Iowa Conference championship and placed second at the Liberal Arts Championships.
