Olson resigns as softball coach

Decorah Head Softball Coach Teri Olson has resigned after seven years of leading the program and three as an assistant.
Under Olson’s guidance, the Vikings had an overall record of 119-129 and made the regional finals two times,
“My time as a softball coach at Decorah High School has come to a close after 10 years of fantastic memories. I want to thank all of the players I have had the opportunity to work with. You have all taught me more than I could have ever imagined and provided memories that will last a lifetime,” said Olson. “I couldn’t be prouder and more appreciative of the support I have received from so many players, parents and staff members at Decorah High School.”
Activities Director Adam Riley stated, “On behalf of the Decorah School District, I would like to thank Coach Olson for her dedication and service to the softball program during the past 10 years as a coach and previously as a player. Her pride in the success of program and desire to see kids be successful is second to none. We look forward to her continued support of Decorah softball and Decorah High School.”
