Decorah's Kellan O'Shea (132) and Hans Holkesvik (152) both won their consolation round to move to Friday's match at the Class 2A state wrestling tournament.
O'Shea, wrestling Chase Wyant of Van Meter, was trailing 0-3 in the second when he got a take down and put Wyant on his back, picking up three back points. He got three more later in the period to lead 8-3. In the third, O'Shea picked up two more take downs to win 12-4.
Holkesvik, wrestling Dylon Van't Hof of Sioux Center, scored a take down in the first and never looked back. He led 4-1 after one and 6-3 after two before winning 10-4.
The two grapplers will wrestle in the second round consolation bracket Friday afternoon. They won't know their opponents until after the Class 2A quarterfinals.
