The second annual Norse Awards, sponsored by the Luther College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, will be held Sunday, March 16, in the Center for Faith and Life on the campus of Luther College.
 The Luther College campus community and public are encouraged to attend. A blue carpet social will kick-off the evening starting at 3:30 p.m., followed by the Norse Awards Ceremony at 4 p.m.
This year’s keynote speaker is Marney Olson ‘99, sister of the late Johanna Olson ‘02, who was a seven-time All-American during her cross country and track career at Luther.
The Norse Awards will recognize and honor Luther athletes for their accomplishments during the 2013 calendar year. The categories include Perseverance Award, Freshman of the Year, Female Athlete of the Year, Male Athlete of the Year, Record Breaking Performance of the Year, Comeback Play of the Year, Best Winning Moment, and Play of the Year. Administrators, staff and head coaches of the Luther College athletic program will present the nominees and award winners.
