The Class 3A No. 7 Decorah football team (2-0) added another win to its impressive string of victories by defeating Marion (1-1) 34-7 Friday night in its home opener.

The Vikes scored four rushing touchdowns in the first half and limited Marion to under 100 yards of total offense in the first half.

Decorah got on the board first in the first quarter with a Mikhail Suvorov touchdown run. Holt Johansen added two in the second while Jake Hovden also scored in the frame.

Senior Dustin Cary scored his first varsity touchdown on a 91-yard fumble recovery in the fourth quarter.
