Tuesday night the Turkey Valley cross country teams traveled to Nashua-Plainfield.

The boys, ranked No. 6 in Class 1A, finished fourth overall in team standings with 107 points. Charles City won the meet with 36 points.

The girls had just one runner in varsity.

For the boys, Ryan Izer, who is ranked No. 21 in Class 1A, finished ninth out of 63 runners in 17:08. Close behind was Nathan Suell. The junior was 14th in 17:45. Steven Landa clocked in at 17:48, good for 16th. Nick Meirick posted a time of 18:32, a season best, while taking 28th overall. Nathan Herold completed the team score. He was 40th in 19:39. Also running varsity, Justin Izer took 46th in 20:32.

In the JV boys race, Eric Drilling took 18th out of 75 in 20:14 while Tom Reicks finished 19th in 20:15.
