The Class 1A No. 4 South Winn football team (4-0, 2-0 district) survived a halftime deficit and fourth quarter comeback Friday night, defeating Denver (1-4, 0-2 district) 46-32 on the road.

The Warriors scored the first two touchdowns of the game. However, Denver came back, taking the lead on a touchdown with under a minute in the half to lead 19-16.

South Winn came out of the locker room firing, going up 40-19 with 8:19 left in the game. That was when Denver mounted a comeback to make the final minutes interesting.
