The Turkey Valley football team (0-2) gave the Class 1A No. 3 South Win football team (2-0) a run for its money in the first quarter plus before the high-powered Warriors put the game away, winning 50-6 Friday night in Jackson Junction.

The Warriors were able to overcome three fumbles to get the victory.

Overcoming challenges

The Trojans played inspired ball to open the game, with the Warriors making mental mistakes.

To start the game, the Trojans went three and out. SW took over at their 30. They drove methodically down the field, with Christian Kleve scoring from 2 yards out on 4th down. The two-point try was no good, making it 6-0. The Warriors were driving again late in the first when TV's Luke Kuennen recovered the first SW fumble of the game. However, the Trojans couldn't do anything with it.

SW took over on their 7. On 1st and 10 at the 24, quarterback Garrett Bohach found Jordan Rommes for the 76-yard TD. Again, the two-point try failed, leaving it at 12-0.
