The Class 3A No. 2 Decorah football team (3-0, 1-0 district) moved its win streak to 17 games in a row as the Vikings defeated Independence (1-2, 0-1 district) 35-0 Friday night at home.

The Vikes limited the Mustangs to single digit yardage in the first quarter and 41 total in the first half as they took a 28-0 lead after 24 minutes of play. Holt Johansen scored two early touchdowns to help give the Vikes the advantage.
