Ranked No. 10 in Class 2A, the South Winn baseball team (10-0, 4-0 UIC) rattled off four more wins this week.

Vs. Oelwein
Wednesday the Warriors hosted Oelwein (6-7) in non-conference action. The Warriors easily handled the Huskies, winning 11-1 in five innings. South Winn put up nine runs in the third to secure the victory.
As a team, they had 13 hits. Ryan Hageman was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and two stolen bases. Christian Kleve had two hits and three RBI. Trevor Schweinefus produced two hits and two RBI. Jordan Rommes also had two hits and stole two bases.
Wyatt Opperman was the winning pitcher. He went five innings, giving up one unearned run on two hits.
“It was nice to get back on the field after a week between games,” said Coach Ben Obermann. “We came out a little flat for the first couple innings, but it was nice to see us explode in the third inning and put the game out of reach.”
