The Class 3A No. 2 Decorah football team (8-0, 5-0 district) extended its win streak to 22 games while clinching the No. 1 seed in Class 3A District 5, defeating Oelwein 63-0 Friday night in Decorah.

The Vikes are guaranteed the top spot in the playoff seeding; however, they haven't clinched the district title outright. A win next Friday (Oct. 25) is needed to secure that honor.

In Friday night's game, Decorah got on the board first when senior Cole Svestka returned an Oelwein punt 37 yards for a score. Just minutes later, Holt Johansen danced into the end zone on a 13 yard scamper. Decorah led 50-0 at the half.
