The second annual Nordic Fest kubb tournament was another big success.

Twenty-one teams from Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin participated.
Using a chess-style system that puts like-ability teams against each other early in the day allowed all teams to have some level of success. No team went undefeated, and no team went home winless. Play started at 9 a.m. and ended at 6:30 p.m. with team Knockerheads winning over part of last year's winners, the Dark Side of the Kubbsicles.
The after the parade tournament had 12 teams sign up for a shortened version of the tournament. Teams competed on the pitches next to the champions and got to experience a tournament feel for the Viking backyard game.
Funds were generated to donate kubb sets to the Decorah schools. A number of sets will be delivered to the middle school to use this upcoming school year.
