Kregel earns All-American honor

Decorah native Kayla Kregel earned All-American status as the Wartburg women’s 4x400 relay placed second at the NCAA Division III National Championship over the weekend.
Kregel, along with Libbey Schubert, Kaly Adkins and Tashina McAllister, finished second Saturday in 3:46.89. First place went to UW-La Crosse, in a time of 3:45.25. This is Kregel’s first All-American honor.
Friday Kregel placed 15th in the prelims of the 400-meter dash in a time of 58.01.
Kregel is the daughter of Ron and Bev Kregel of Decorah.
