Fans who braved the wind, cold and rain Monday and Tuesday were treated to two special games by the Decorah boys soccer team (3-2) as the Vikings posted thrilling wins.

Come from behind
It was an exciting victory Monday night as the Vikings scored four goals in the second half to defeat Denver (1-6) 4-3.
Playing against a very strong wind, Decorah gave up three goals in the first half to trail 3-0 at halftime.
With the wind at their backs, the Vikings looked like a different team in the second half, Coach David Keller commented. Despite several chances, Decorah was held scoreless the first 20 minutes. John Will Jenkins broke the ice, scoring his second goal of the year after heading Parker Lane’s cross. Garrett Nordheim made it a one-goal game minutes later.
With 10 minutes remaining in the match, Dalton Harvey scored after the Denver goalkeeper fumbled the ball. Isaac Marquardt hit a 20-yard shot that took a slight deflection into the upper corner of the net to give the Vikes the win.
