Decorah High School senior Alexis Hove was selected for the 2013 Academic All-State volleyball team.
Hove was one of 96 seniors from across the state chosen for this honor from the Iowa Girls Coaches Association. In order to receive this recognition, athletes must be a senior, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or higher, have an ACT composite score of at least 27 and be involved in other extra-curricular activities.
Hove led the team in digs with 172, averaging 1.85 digs per set. She also had 91 assists, a 0.98 assister per set average. At the service line she went 238-for-251 with 17 aces (0.948 serving efficiency).
Hove also participates in basketball, track, choir, the musical, wind ensemble, culture club, large group speech, Envirothon and NHS. Hove is the daughter of Todd and Tammy Hove.
