Following a tough non-conference loss, the South Winn girls basketball team (3-3, 3-1 UIC) pulled off a big win at home Friday, defeating Clayton Ridge.



To Waukon

The South Winn defense struggled to get a stop when it needed to Thursday at home against the Indians of Waukon (3-2, 1-1 NEIC). With the game tied 9-9 at the end of the first, the Indians outscored the Warriors in the second, going ahead 26-18 at the half. The Indians again outscored South Winn in the third, 16-13, to go ahead 40-31.

The Warriors were led by Brittany Shindelar, who had 17 points and nine rebounds. Micole Lansing had nine points, seven assists and four steals. Payton Poshusta had six boards and five assists.
