Looking to get back on the winning side of things, the Turkey Valley boys basketball team (1-13, 1-11 UIC) hosted North Fayette (5-12, 5-7 UIC) Friday night in a UIC tussle.

Unfortunately, the visiting team came out on top, winning 41-34.

The game started with a lot of back-and-forth action, with Turkey Valley taking an 11-9 first quarter lead. However, the Hawks came fighting back in the second, hitting some outside shots. The Trojans scored just eight points as they went into the halftime break trailing 23-17. The third quarter saw the Trojans start to make a comeback, hitting several shots. With about 15 seconds left and the home team down by two, the Trojans got a look at a three. The shot hit long, with North Fayette getting the rebound and going down to make a basket as time expired to make it 34-30 North Fayette.
