Decorah track stars took to the oval at Luther College Saturday to open the season with the Luther/Decorah Invite.
No team scores were kept at the meet. 

Top girls results
Four Decorah girls events took the gold spot at the meet. Sophomore Taylor Schuring picked up an individual first in the 800-meter run. She posted a time of 2:36.47 to edge Brook Jorstad of La Crosse Logan by 1.90 seconds. 
Also taking an individual top spot was sophomore Olivia Sandvig. Competing in the sixth out of seven heats, Sandvig broke the finish line tape in 9.17 seconds, winning by 0.18 seconds over Andy Jacobs of Rochester Century.
Two relays came in first place. The 4x200 of Kalle Solberg, Schuring, Kayla Quandahl and Dailen Folkedahl improved their seed time by 1.49 seconds to take first in 1:52.51. They just edged La Crosse Logan by 0.05 seconds.
Kaitlyn Kregel, Amanda Taylor, Katie Perez and Lindsay Vande Lune combined talents in the 4x800 to win in 10:29.60, a victory by 41.16 seconds over Rochester Century.
