With the game tied at 7-7, the Class 3A No. 2 Decorah football team (10-0) went on a roll, scoring four straight touchdowns to defeat Central Clinton DeWitt (4-6) 34-7 Wednesday night in the Class 3A first round of the playoffs.

The Vikes move on to face Maquoketa (7-3), which defeated Crestwood 19-13 in overtime in the first round.

Decorah scored first on a 27-yard Bryce Pierce to Holt Johansen pass. With the game tied, the Vikes went back to the air, with Pierce connecting with Bryton Meyer for the 26-yard score, still in the first quarter. Still in the first half, Pierce found Cole Svestka for the 51-yard score.

In the second half, the Vikes scored on a 62-yard Jacob Leeps rush and a 2-yard Leeps run.
