Decorah headed back to state

The Decorah boys and girls cross country teams are headed back to the state meet.
Both teams took first at the Waverly-Shell Rock state qualifying meets Thursday, earning an automatic bid to state, Saturday, Oct. 27, in Fort Dodge.
The boys won with 29 points. Kyle Hosting was the individual winner.
The girls finished first with 34 points. Gara Lonning had the highest finish for the Vikes, taking fourth.
Turkey Valley will also be represented at state, with Ryan Izer and Josine Gossling both individually qualifying.
