It was a sweet way to start the day Saturday at the state track meet.
The Decorah girls sprint medley relay came in first in the event to score 10 team points.
Decorah now sits in fourth overall with 34 points and are 10 points out of third place.
The relay of Monica Tappe, Alexis Hove, Dailen Folkedahl and Taylor Schuring posted a time of 1:48.46 to win. Boone claimed second in 1:48.84.
Schuring, the anchor leg, was in third when she took the baton from Folkedahl and pushed down the final 100 meters to win for the team.
