In the final meet before conference, the Decorah girls track team traveled to Waverly-Shell Rock Monday.
The Vikes won the meet with 189 points.
Eight events won first. Amanda Taylor won the 800-meter run in 2:30.92. Kelly Minear took the 3,000-meter title in 11:51.11. In 1:10.73, Tori Hartman broke the tape in the 400-meter hurdles. Kassie Hoyme took the shot put title with a best throw of 37 feet, 7 inches.
Four relays also took first. The 4x100 of Molly Wettach, Tess Olinger, Alexis Hove and Dailen Folkedahl won the event in 52.42 seconds. Kaitlyn Kregel, Katie Perez, Lindsay Vande Lune and Shelby Varney won the 4x800 in 10:18.16.
In 4:24.66, Kayla Ingvalson, Kalle Solberg, Folkedahl and Taylor Schuring won the distance medley. The quartet of Brittany Hudson, Monica Tappe, Ingvalson and Schuring took the sprint medley title in 1:56.84.
"Last night was a great way to end the regular season. The girls ran hard, the field events ended with several season bests, but most of all, they were great teammates," said Coach Dana Hogan.
