The Decorah boys distance medley relay team finished second overall in 3:31.95.

Team members were Jacob Drost, Drew Schwartz, Cole Svestka and Kyle Hosting, who ran a 1:55 flat in the final 800-leg of the relay.

That moved the Vikes into fourth in team standings with 20 points. Fort Madison leads things with 27 points.

Other highlights from earlier in the day: SW's Austin Breitsprecher earned seventh in the discus with a best throw of 154 feet, 9 inches.

Decorah's Olivia Sandvig finished 23rd in the long jump with a leap of 14 feet, 8 inches.

Decorah girls distance medley relay finished third overall in 4:10.79. Team members were Monica Tappe, Tess Olinger, Dailen Folkedahl and Taylor Schuring.

In the Class 2A boys distance medley relay, SW's Jared Schroeder, Jordan Rommes, Garrett Bohach and Devin Franzen finished 18th in 3:43.43.

Decorah girls 4x100 advanced to the finals by taking eighth. Molly Wettach, Alexis Hove, Monica Tappe and Dailen Folkedahl posted a time of 50.72.
