The Decorah JV wrestling team took part in the Northeast Iowa Conference JV wrestling tournament Monday, Feb. 3, at New Hampton.

The Vikings finished fourth with 107 points, while the Viking "extras" team finished eighth with 45 points. Charles City won the meet with 257 points.

Decorah had three grapplers finished second. Garrett Nordheim earned second at 152 pounds. He pinned Brandon Regan of Waukon in 3:09 and threw Trevor Trende of Crestwood in 2:52. He was pinned in the finals. At 170 pounds, Garrett Wise threw Tanner Peterson of Charles City in 28 seconds, then picked up a 5-3 decision over Branodn Childs of Charles City. He lost in the finals. Daniel Ott earned the silver at 195 pounds, having just one match.

Austin Keck (160) and Riley Rue (220) took third.

The Vikes host a JV tournament Monday, Feb. 10, beginning at 5 p.m.
