The Decorah girls tennis team got back on the court Monday night, taking on Osage at the Luther courts.
In the end, the Vikings won 7-2.
Head Coach Larry Berland had praise for all his players, especially Laura Munkel and Anna Spencer.
“Laura has found a way to make her matches exciting for the fans but torture for her coaches. Laura’s game is one bubble off of being consistent enough to finish off opponents without going into extra innings. I give her a bunch of credit for trying new things as her game improves,” he said. “Anna Spencer had a game plan going into her match, and by sticking with that plan, Anna was able to foil any comeback ideas her opponent might have harbored. Anna may seem borderline laid back when you talk with her, but there is a red-hot competitive fire burning inside, making her a formidable opponent.
