Coe comes from behind to defeat Norse

The Coe College passing attack proved to be the difference in Saturday's Iowa Conference football game in Cedar Rapids as Coe (7-2, 4-2 IIAC) defeated Luther (2-7, 1-5 IIAC) 31-14.
Kohawk quarterback Josh Rekers threw for 286 yards and three touchdowns, as he led the Kohawk's come-from behind victory.
Luther took a 14-10 lead midway through the third quarter when Dylan Smallwood capped off a 77-yard, 10-play drive with a 1-yard plunge.
The Kohawks responded with 21 unanswered points, scoring on touchdown passes of 57 and 49 yards, and a 1-yard run by Rekers.
Jeremy Redmond, who finished the day with a game-high 105 yards on 11 carries, scored his first collegiate touchdown for the Norse at 5:56 of the second quarter on an 11-yard run. Redmond led the rushing attack that tallied 210 yards and averaged over 4 yards per carry.
Defensively, Matt Larson was credited with 12 tackles. He was followed by Rich Vickers with nine and Colin White and Robby Jewell with eight each.
Luther wraps up the 2013 campaign at home next Saturday when it will host Simpson College at noon.
