It came down to one point Friday night in Calmar, but that one point proved costly for the South Winn girls basketball team (6-4, 6-2 UIC) as the Warriors fell to MFL 44-45.

The Warriors fell behind early in the first quarter, 16-7. However, things heated up for the home team in the second as SW outscored MFL 18-6 to go into the locker room ahead 25-22. In the second half, the Bullldogs remained close, putting up 23 points to SW's 19 to get the win.

Micole Lansing led the Warriors. Playing in just the first half, Lansing had 11 points, two rebounds, two assists and three steals. Jessica Lensing and Jenn Panos both had eight points. Panos added nine boards. Brittany Shindelar had six points and seven rebounds.
