In one of the final events before the Upper Iowa Conference meet, the South Winn boys and girls track teams traveled to Cresco to compete in the Crestwood Invite Thursday.
The boys won with 158 points. The girls came in fourth with 105 points.

Lots of golds
The boys picked up 10 gold medals. Individually, Jared Schroeder was the champion in the 100-meter dash in 11.46 seconds. Teammate Alex Shatek took the 200-meter title in 23.70 seconds. It was Garrett Bohach who broke the tape in the 800-meter run in 2:05.59. Ben Meyer claimed the 400-meter hurdles title, going around the track in 58.03 seconds. Yet again Chris Brincks was the high jump champion, this time clearing 6 feet, 4 inches. It tied a school record.
In the relays, the 4x100, 4x100 weightmen, 4x200, 4x400 and distance medley all came in first. Schroeder, Treyton Jacobsen, Shatek and Jordan Rommes won the 4x100 in 44.95 seconds and the 4x200 in 1:34.52.
The weightmen clocked in at 50.48 seconds. Cole Schmitt, Carson Lensing, Blake Hageman and Matthew Holthaus were the team members.
The 4x400 had a time of 3:32.95. Team members were Mitch Herold, Brincks, B. Meyer and Devin Franzen.
Schroeder, Jacobsen, Nathan Ward and Nathan Meyer combined in the distance medley for a time of 3:48.97.
