It was two wins in two days for the Decorah boys soccer team this week.

Monday the Vikes took on Waverly-Shell Rock at home, winning 1-0. Tuesday night, despite a lightning delay, the Vikes came out on the field hot, winning 2-0 over Postville, again at home.

"The Decorah boys have had a run of good form recently, putting in two solid performances versus Waverly and Postville in back-to-back game days. Mitch Burggraf only had a handful of saves to make throughout the entirety of both games, and Decorah showed a fighting team spirit in each match," said Coach David Keller. "Against Waverly, Garrett Nordheim scored the only goal to give the Vikings a 1-0 victory. It was Garrett's first goal at the varsity level, and as a sophomore, Garrett is looking like he will be a big player for Decorah throughout the next couple of years.
