Battle in Jackson Junction won by Trojans

Fans in the Turkey Valley gym expected a close contest Tuesday night, and they weren't disappointed as the South Winn and Turkey Valley volleyball teams matched talents.

In the end, it was the Trojans that prevailed, winning 3-1 (25-22, 19-25, 26-24, 25-15).
South Winn drops to 5-7 overall and 1-2 in the conference while Turkey Valley improves its record to 5-6 overall and 3-2 in the Upper Iowa Conference.
"It was good volleyball in the Turkey Valley gym tonight," said TV Coach Tammy Vrzak. "Both teams played hard."
The Trojans had 25 kills, 111 attack attempts, 25 assists, 64 digs, 17 total blocks and served 84-for-94 with five aces. They posted a .894 serving efficiency and a .153 kill efficency.
