Anundsen into hall of fame

Sara Anundsen of Raleigh, N.C., has been elected to the Colorado Tennis Hall of Fame.
The daughter of Decorah natives Steve Anundsen and Laura Anundsen, she is the granddaughter of Jack and Ellie Anundsen of Decorah.
A graduate of Columbine High School and the University of North Carolina, she was a three-time state champ (2001-03) in high school, compiling a perfect 50-0 record. In college, she was a two-time all-American (2006 and 2007). She was a NCAA champion in doubles in 2007 and finished the year ranked No. 1 in the nation. She was awarded a wild card to play in the U.S. Open.
Anundsen was named national assistant coach of the year at North Carolina in 2011. The Tar Heels were national indoor champions in 2013 and a NCAA team finalist in 2014.
She has retired from coaching and will be married May 2, 2015.
