The Decorah girls soccer team (2-4) fell at Independence 2-0 Tuesday night.
The Vikes gave up two first-half goals.
“We played better as a team this game, but we still need a little improvement on executing the ball,” said Coach Kyrie Jorgenson. “The girls worked hard but fell short of a win.”
Anja Arend led the team with four shots on goal. Lauren Bruneau and Kahler Folkedahl both had three while Jenison Jenkins and Emily Miller had two.
Goalie Olivia Rauk made nine saves.
The JV tied Independence 1-1. Decorah’s goal was scored by Naomi Davidson.

The Vikes host Union today, Thursday, May 8, at 4:30 p.m. and Dubuque Hempstead Saturday, May 10, at 10 a.m.
