The Turkey Valley trap shooting team is anxiously looking forward to spring.

The squad, which this season is predicted to have 28 members, will now have a new home facility to practice.

Thanks to fundraising and the generosity of several donors, the trap team now has its own range, featuring two trap fields, a rifle range and a pistol range.

Needing to grow

The trap team first began competing in 2012, with 14 student-athletes on the roster. Last season they had 15 members, and it's predicted 28 members will be taking shots this spring.

With the team doubling in size, the coaches, along with community members, began researching building a local trap range.
