The Turkey Valley girls and boys track teams traveled to Oelwein to the West Central Relays Monday night.
The girls won the team title with 149 points. Clayton Ridge captured a close second with 137 points.
The Eagles just edged the Trojans in the boys’ standings, 142 to 126.

Four golds
The Turkey Valley girls brought home four gold medals Monday night.
Stephanie Martin was the distance champion. She posted a time of 12:15.24 in the 3,000-meter run to win the event.
Chloe Reicks was the discus champion. The senior had a best throw of 121 feet, 8 inches.
Clearing 4 feet, 8 inches, Kayla Schaufenbuel was the high jump champion.
One relay broke the tape. Martin, Sarah Stahley, Kirsten Huinker and Sadie Nymeyer won the 1,600-meter distance relay in 4:38.09.
Personal records were recorded by C. Reicks in the discus, Shelby Reicks in the 400 and 800, Martin in the 3,000 and Nymeyer in the 1,500.
“This truly was a team win as everyone on the team contributed to the team score. Our four field events were phenomenal, scoring 56 points,” said Coach Brian Schmitt. “It has been a blast coaching these girls this year. It is a joy as a coach to see kids succeed.”
