It was a sweep for the Decorah cross country teams at Waukon as the Vikes won gold in all four team events.
South Winn also competed Tuesday night, with strong times across the board.
The Class 3A No. 5 Decorah boys put together a strong performance, with their top five finishing within the first 10 and all in the top 15 runners. In total, Decorah took first with 28 points, posting an average time of 17:56.
Junior Isaac Marquardt, who is ranked No. 14 in Class 3A, was the individual champion. He had an average mile of 5:35 to finish in 17:06. Right behind him was No. 17 Oran Deen-Lester. The senior finished second in 17:26. Forde Nesteby, ranked No. 13, took seventh in 18:07. Andrew Larson clocked in at 18:14, good for eighth. Rounding out the team score was Jacob Hrdlicka, who was 10th in 18:33.
Also competing in varsity were Tim Meyer, 13th in 18:49, and Bryce Hosting, 14th in 18:54.
