Tricia Serres, a 2012 graduate of Platteville (Wis.) High School, set a Luther College school record in the 3,000 meter run at the Iowa State Classic, held Saturday, Feb. 15.

Serres was the only Division III athlete in the field and placed 12th with a time of 9:35.28. This mark is the fastest time indoors in Division III to date. She crushed the old mark of 9:57.26, set by six-time All-American and two-time national champion Turena Johnson in 1997.

One week prior, at the Luther alumni meet, Serres established a new school record in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:53.32. She broke the old mark of 3:00.43, set by Dani Meirick in 2010.

Serres is the daughter of Rob and Heidi Serres of Platteville, Wis.
