Luther College track star Tricia Serres was a two-time All-American Saturday, placing second in the mile and third in the 3,000.

Serres advanced to the finals by finishing the qualifying round in 4:56.1 Friday.
This year marked the first time a national champion was crowned in the 3,000. Cazzola passed Serres and Cara DeAngelis of Ohio Wesleyan on the final turn to claim the national title. Cazzola crossed the line with a time of 9:38.72, while DeAngelis was second at 9:39.17 and Serres was clocked at 9:39.49.
