The Luther softball team's season came to an end Sunday following a 4-1 loss to Texas-Tyler in an elimination game of the NCAA III Softball Championships.

With the score tied 1-1 entering the bottom of the sixth, Texas-Tyler scored three runs on four hits and finished the inning with what proved to be the final score of the ball game.

Luther's lone run came in the top of the third when Elisa Smith drove in Kayla Hatting on a single to right field.

The Norse complete their fourth consecutive trip to the National Championships with an overall record of 33-11.
