Four members of the Luther College track and field team have qualified for the 2013 NCAA III Women's National Indoor Track and Field Championships.

North Central College, Naperville, Ill., will host the two-day championships Friday and Saturday, March 8-9, at the Hall Recreation Center.

Tricia Serres, a freshman from Platteville, Wis., who earned All-America honors at the NCAA III National Cross Country Championships this past fall, has qualified in the mile. Serres posted her qualifying mark of 4:55.05 while capturing the Iowa Conference indoor title in this event. Her time was a new school record and ranks sixth in the nation. The mile is schedule for 3:45 p.m. Friday.

The distance medley relay of Maggie Pierson, a junior from Plymouth, Minn., Kelsey Strand, a sophomore from Decorah, Annie Klepper, a senior from Algona, and Serres will compete at 6 p.m. Friday. This foursome captured the Iowa Conference indoor title with a school record 11:50.55. This time ranks eighth in the nation.
