Some friends and I were discussing the letter to the editor Julie Fischer wrote on behalf of the Peace and Justice Center that appeared in last week's paper. Here's our interpretation of the letter:
"Here at the Peace and Justice Center we believe it's very important that you let your elected representatives know where we stand on the issues. At the Peace and Justice Center, we can provide you with talking points on a variety of issues to advance the liberal agenda. If you want help explaining the liberal point of view on topics like cutting our national defense budget, or making sure that we never have to show an ID to vote, or ways to increase government spending on social programs feel free to give us a call. We look forward to helping you exercise a fundamental democratic right, as long as you help us advance the liberal agenda."
Maybe the Peace and Justice Center isn't so non-partisan after all.
