Wayne F. Marks, 66, of New Hope, Minn., died Aug. 27, 2013, at home surrounded by family, after a brief battle with lung cancer. A Celebration of Wayne's life including military honors and a luncheon are at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at Kozlak-Radulovich Maple Grove Chapel (13745 Reimer Dr.), with visitation one hour prior. There will be a private interment. Arrangements are being handled by Kozlak-Radulovich Chapel 763-416-0016.

Wayne was born June 25, 1947, in Minneapolis. He served in Germany as a sergeant in the Air Force during the Vietnam era. He married Sheela Neubauer April 20, 1972, and they had four children. He spent 30 years in the printing industry, later working for the U.S. Postal Service. He spent a wonderful retirement golfing, highlighted by a trip to St. Andrews in Scotland in 2010.

He is survived by his wife, Sheela; children: Keisha (David) Sandberg and grandchildren Lauren and Joshua, Shawna (Michael) Bipes, Shannon Marks and Andrew Marks; siblings: Kurt (Roxanne) Marks, Brenda (Gary) Welter and their children Sara and Wade, Steven Marks, Dawn Decker and her daughter Eve; mother-in-law, Shirlee Neubauer; sister-in-law, Lisa (Randy) Tangen and their children Rachel and Breanna; nephew, Justin (Hally) Neubauer and their children Jase and Jayven; other relatives and friends, including his golfing buddies at Greenhaven Golf Course in Anoka.

He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Orion "Bud" and Anita Marks; his mother, Harriet Anderson; his father-in-law, Gerald "Jerry" Neubauer; brothers-in-law, Mike Decker and Jayme Neubauer.
